She whistles a song with the wind
the flowers grow all around her
she thinks about the life she could have lived

An old man tends the garden
He picks up the leaves in the fall
He hears her whistling in his homestead
He listens to her sad song

One winter day the ground froze solid
He dug himself a snowy grave
A flower grew from the soil
Reminding him of her embrace

There's a woman who sleeps in the garden,
and a man who courted her long ago
but now she's gone and he's tired
all of his time he spends alone
